Pretty banger, nice mix. Def needs more around it, but it is a just demo. Nice work.

The high end mix is TERRIBLE. Hurts the ears D: Snare is lost in the bass. The bass is just way too loud and mixed badly. Go listen to xKore or something listen to the mix on his drums lol. That build @ 2:44 is really great and the drop at 2:54...omg nice. Nice n' heavy. Nice sounds. Bad eq. ):

TIMarbury responds:

sorry meng. xkore is way better than me at everything. i understand your point though.

Nice job.

Tight drums, feel the snare coulda been a little shorter? A sub bass woulda been SWEET. A really light one.

Holy.

That lfo/vibrato synth is AWESOME. SOOOOO good. Nice vocals! I agreed with the transition statement made below though.

No complaints.

Awesome melody! :D Weak drums D: Keep it up!

OpenLight responds:

Thank you, man! I agree with the drums if you mean they're mixed too low. That's how I wanted it at the time but I do think it'd sound better louder.

Your bass died.

I heard NO bass at all o_O Very strange, nice mixing, intro. The strings were perfect. Everything was really, just needed a bass to groove to, you know? :)

Mixing issues.

No kick, which in my mind, is the driving force to electronic songs. Really, really soft. Your goal with the kick is to have it well compressed, heard over everything else without being overpowering. Then the melody, which was ok. You made the cymbals the loudest for some reason? I dunno why haha. The structure needs a lot of word, just drones on after a while. But you did break it up, which was good. I would give you 6/10, but 7/10 for being your first :) good luck with your next track.

Your mixing is 10 times better

Great thing you got going here, only complaint is that the sounds still need more work, they don't sound 100% professional, like at :33, that sounds is...egh...

fantastical.

Love the offbeat rhythm thing you've got going hurrr. I love the soggy bass + melody :D Love that synth, all of it. You need to make longer songs. NEED TO. I DEMAND IT. The one thing that kinda bothered me was the weird panning of the drums + stereo separation of the bass? It was cool, but I'm just wondering why you did that?

kjhsdgf responds:

it sounded better in my speakers and also a lazy way to fill up space and keep the main instruments sounding overhead-y.
i've been working on that, this is actually a song that's been lying around for a while.
thanks for the review!

Nioce

The drums are nice and crispy. I like the orchestral samples, or vst, w.e. it is. REALLY great structure, really flows. I almost NEVER rate songs 10, but I really don't see any flaws, other then that nagging sub-bass/kick, but I guess that's part of hip hop :P And maybe a more creative intro/outro? The fade is a little meh.

O-Prime125 responds:

It's a vst, I don't use samples a lot, 99% of the time I make it myself, yeh I guess I can do better on the fade in and intro/outro, thanks for your review. ^^
