Excellent melody, mix is perfect. The thing that got me the most was the AWESOME sounds. Really did a great job with that. Gunna go to my iPod :)

Indigorain responds:

Awesome! Thanks a lot for the great review bro! I appreciate the kind words!

The high end mix is TERRIBLE. Hurts the ears D: Snare is lost in the bass. The bass is just way too loud and mixed badly. Go listen to xKore or something listen to the mix on his drums lol. That build @ 2:44 is really great and the drop at 2:54...omg nice. Nice n' heavy. Nice sounds. Bad eq. ):

TIMarbury responds:

sorry meng. xkore is way better than me at everything. i understand your point though.

No complaints.

Awesome melody! :D Weak drums D: Keep it up!

OpenLight responds:

Thank you, man! I agree with the drums if you mean they're mixed too low. That's how I wanted it at the time but I do think it'd sound better louder.

fantastical.

Love the offbeat rhythm thing you've got going hurrr. I love the soggy bass + melody :D Love that synth, all of it. You need to make longer songs. NEED TO. I DEMAND IT. The one thing that kinda bothered me was the weird panning of the drums + stereo separation of the bass? It was cool, but I'm just wondering why you did that?

kjhsdgf responds:

it sounded better in my speakers and also a lazy way to fill up space and keep the main instruments sounding overhead-y.
i've been working on that, this is actually a song that's been lying around for a while.
thanks for the review!

Nioce

The drums are nice and crispy. I like the orchestral samples, or vst, w.e. it is. REALLY great structure, really flows. I almost NEVER rate songs 10, but I really don't see any flaws, other then that nagging sub-bass/kick, but I guess that's part of hip hop :P And maybe a more creative intro/outro? The fade is a little meh.

O-Prime125 responds:

It's a vst, I don't use samples a lot, 99% of the time I make it myself, yeh I guess I can do better on the fade in and intro/outro, thanks for your review. ^^

crazy good melody.

This has sooo much potential, it's crazy. The mixing still needs a lot of work ): There is way too much low in the beginning synth. The intro could use some work. LOVE the synth break, it's great! The drums are quite dull, your kick should always sound clear, and almost be the loudest, depending on the track. Maybe get better drum samples? They sound kinda cheap almost, no offence, or at least make it more full or something. The synth sound kind of grates on you after awhile. A lot of creativity in the melody though, but the eqing still need work, along side the structure. Love the pitch down thing haha. 8/10 4/5

OpenLight responds:

Yeah I know. I couldn't find a way to make the melody work in the way I wanted it haha. If I made this song today, it'd be better.... but I'll stick with V1. Haha

Great sounds, not so great progression ):

This is like the most standard progression, and a bit repetitively used at that. I hear this in all the songs on the radio. I absolutely love your sound selection, it's truly beautiful. I see you like using bongos too ahha xD I love those. But that melody that you repeat 324143 times really kills me. I had to stop listening after awhile, cus it got on my nerves so much. Hope to hear more complex things from you in the future ;D Or something. Cus there is very little build up and down in this song. Nice job overall.

AuruxBlu responds:

Thank you, I put a lot of work and time into my sounds. :) As for the bongos, I've always loved using them XD. You are right about the melody though. It is a common element widely used and I didn't take that into consideration when I made this song. You can expect more from me in the near future though ;) Anywho, thanks for your review

Very bad distortion.

The mixing needs a lot of work, is all sounds very nasally , the drums are drowned by the lead and bass because lead and bass have way to much reverb/delay and are not properly eqed. It sounds to me like there is really no mixing, and the snare and bass drum need a tight compression on them to really make them pop. There are plenty of tutorials on youtube for mixing in fl. Btw, chill with the nexus haha. Nice job figuring it all out though.

Daydream-Anatomy responds:

I don't have nexus, unless you meant for me to get it, most of my production comes from freeware and crap that comes with fl.

I don't spend enough time eqing I know, I heard this on my stereo speakers recently and realized the hi end of the kick doesn't shine through at all like on my tiny studio monitors.

Thank you for the review:3

Holy...oh my goshhh.

It's sooooo good, the mixing is great, so much creativity. I hear db Blue glitch aha, love that plugin. No complaints, except that I'd like the snare to be more separated from the kick, maybe use a snare with less low and a really punchy high. OMG I just noticed some of the melody is similar to requiem for a dream! @ 2:46 im almost 100% sure that's the melody for requiem for a dream, but it's creatively used so yay :D

Acid-Paradox responds:

Like i said to the previous guy , yeah it's the same as requiem for a dream.

Your music is way too good.

The bass is just PERFECT, flawless.

DJ-Qwamii responds:

That's a nice thing to say :P Haha, thanks Ty! 8)
