Very dull and weak to me :x

:) Thanks for the love, Enteroar! I'll go have a listen. :)

lol..

Sounds like you dled the midi for Req for a dream and editted the notes alitte -.-

Raven-Guard responds:

Yeah, because last time I checked, Requiem for a Dream had a xylophone, had the same drum style as this, had almost all the notes exactly the same, had a similar structure and was 3 minutes and 37 seconds long.

FAIL.

Darklight17 took care of the melodies. Maybe he was inspired by Requiem for a Dream, but if you take a listen at Requiem for a dream, sure it has similar foreground notes for around the first 5 notes of the melody, but it morphs completely from there. Is there anything wrong with being inspired by a song? Hell, I don't even know if he WAS inspired by it or the melody just came to him.

Also the chords in the background aren't at all like the chords of Requiem for a Dream.

By the way, we have never downloaded or touched the Requiem for a Dream MIDI file. If we did and we uploaded it, that would be against the rules, as is posting in your review that you think a submission is stolen:

"If you believe an entry is stolen, do not comment about it in your review. If you are wrong, you may convince other users that the entry is stolen and you may cause a legitimate entry to receive an unfairly low score, or have the whistle blown on it."

In case you can't be bothered to read it, basically that means that YOU'RE breaking the rules and we're not.

Seriously, you'd think that someone would use their common sense and not call something stolen because it uses a few notes from another song.

I think you're not taking into account all the work we put into this. If we just grabbed the MIDI and 'editted the notes alittle -.-' then we'd have it done in a few minutes. This took us weeks and weeks of hard work.

I may seem like I'm overreacting, but if you put yourself in our shoes and you'd get someone calling your weeks of hard work a rip off of another song, you sure won't feel that happy, will you?

I respect your opinion, maybe you think it sounds like Requiem for a Dream, but if so, then don't give us a 7/10 and a review which might encourage more people to do like you just because you think it sounds like Requiem for a Dream. If you don't like that fact, then just DON'T REVIEW IT.

Thanks for the review nevertheless, I suppose. At least you didn't be extra retarded and give us a 0 or something.

Shimose responds:

It all just comes from experience, ear training, and listening to a lot of different inspirations. That's all I can really say. :)

5/5 10/10

DJ-Qwamii responds:

Thanks dude. It requires a lot experimenting. :b

Alright, sure I will. :)

wow 2 years? o:

I found the vocals better than the instrumental. The claps sound to loud to me, and the song changes rhythm to often. The bass is abit strange in some places and doesnt fit with the melo.

Please check out my music if you get a chance,
Thanks

AisareneMusic responds:

I'll have to do that. And, hm...it does change consistently, but, I've never been a fan of overly-repetitive songs.
xxAisarene

I love this song

so inspiring...but it also makes me feel the emptyness i hold inside myself -cry-

5/5 10/10

awesome epic melody :P

I wish it was longer o:
The strings were abit to loud in comparision to the rest, like I couldnt hear the drums very much.
really enjoyed listening to this though :)

kiiryu responds:

Ah, thanks for the review and you're input. I'm not that great when it comes to mastering so stuff like this really helps.

As for the length, I just didn't feel like there was much more I could add to it without it getting repetitive, and I felt like starting a new song, so I just sort of cut it off.
